Steven Wilkinson, MBA, is President of Wilkinson Wealth Management, serving the Bay Area community since 2004. He’s a Registered Representative and Investment Advisory Representative with Western International Securities , member FINRA/ SIPC.

In 2012, Wilkinson was appointed as a trustee of the Oakland Police and Fire Retirement System by Mayor Jean Quan, and he was reappointed by Mayor Libby Schaff in 2016 and 2021. He currently serves on the Investment and Audit Committees. He was appointed Trustee to the Alameda County Employee Retirement Association by the County Board of Supervisors in 2024. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Northern California Small Business Financial Development Corporation; a part of California Treasury’s Investment Banking division (https://nor-calfdc.org). He is an original Board Member of Inner City Advisors which has help hundreds of businesses to grow creating thousands of jobs (eg. Blue Bottle Coffee, Firebrand Bread, Numi Tea, Red Bay Coffee, Revolution Foods, etc).

Wilkinson began his financial career as an FDIC bank examiner. He later joined Smith Barney (Now Morgan Stanley). He is a member of The Court of the Table, an elite group of professionals recognized by the financial services industry organization Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), which honors members who demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct, and outstanding client service.

Wilkinson has an MBA from Harvard Business School (HBS) and a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. A proud Nashville native, he has been an Oakland resident and home owner for over three decades.
