Jeff Rieger joined ACERA as Chief Counsel in March 2020, overseeing ACERA’s Legal Department, which provides in-house legal services to ACERA’s Board of Retirement and staff.

Prior to joining ACERA, Jeff was in private practice since 2001 and represented many state, county and city retirement systems throughout California, both in litigation and as Fiduciary Counsel. Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
