Please be advised that ACERA’s Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage Medicare plan does not include an over-the-counter benefit for non-prescription drugs and medical supplies. Earlier this year, some Senior Advantage enrollees may have received an Evidence of Coverage document from Kaiser that mistakenly listed this benefit. As a result, a few ACERA members may have inadvertently received the benefit before Kaiser Permanente identified and corrected it. Kaiser Permanente will not seek reimbursement from members for any benefits provided in error. Going forward, this benefit is not accessible.
