Each year, investment consulting firm RVK prepares an investment analysis report on public funds like ACERA. RVK’s recently published report for the year ending June 30, 2017 has ACERA ranked as #1 among all twenty ‘37 act counties in California for our 16.3% gross return on our investments. (Our 16.0% net return still has us ranked at #1.)

The report also provides rankings for public funds’ annualized returns over the past 5-year and 10-year time periods. (An annualized return is simply the total % return over the entire time period divided by the number of years in the time period, so it represents an average annual return over the period.) ACERA ranked #3 among the county funds for our 5-year annualized return, and #5 for our 10-year annualized return.
