2016 ACERA Board Election Results and New Alternate Retiree Board Member

The Alameda County Employees’ Retirement Association held an election for three seats on the Board of Retirement from November 7 to December 14, 2016. Votes for the Board of Retirement election were counted on December 15, 2016 at the Registrar of Voters (ROV) office for the following seats:

  • Seventh Member and Alternate Seventh Member to represent the safety membership.

Results of the Election for the Seventh Member and Alternate Seventh Member to Represent the Safety Members

Dale E. Amaral was declared elected by the ROV for the position of the Seventh Member to represent the safety members on the Board of Retirement. Mr. Amaral will serve a 3-year term commencing January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2019.

Darryl Walker was declared elected by the ROV for the position of the Alternate Seventh Member to represent the safety members on the Board of Retirement. Mr. Walker will serve a 3-year term commencing January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2019.

ACERA’s New Alternate Retiree Board Member Was Sworn in On January 19

Nancy Reilly, ACERA’s new member of the Board of Retirement was sworn in as the Alternate Retired Board Member for Seat 8 on Thursday, January 19, 2017, prior to ACERA’s regular Board of Retirement meeting. Ms. Reilly ran unopposed, and was therefore declared elected by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. Ms. Reilly represents the retired members on the Board of Retirement and will serve a 3-year term commencing January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2019.
